JUNKYU MUTO WORKS IN HARMONY WITH NATURE
2000年バチカン市国のローマ法王公邸カステルガンドルフォに、同国史上初の抽象彫刻として「風の環 PAX2000」が、2006年には世界平和を象徴するモニュメントとして仏教発祥の地インド・ブッダガヤのマハボディ大寺院(世界遺産)に「風の環 PAX2005」、さらに2008年にはネイティブアメリカンの聖地ワイオミング州デビルズタワー国定公園内に「風の環 PAX2008」が後世への平和のメッセージとして永久設置されました。これらの永久設置は世界芸術史上初めての偉業と言われています。昭島・昭和の森 武藤順九彫刻園では、これらの記念すべきモニュメント1/2モデルをはじめとする、大理石彫刻作品マスターピース9点を展示いたします。自然とアートの調和を存分にお楽しみください。
In 2000, the first abstract sculpture in the history of the country, “Circle Wind PAX2000”, was installed in CastelGandolfo, the official residence of the Pope in Vatican City. In 2006, “Circle Wind PAX2005”, was installed as amonument symbolizing world peace in the Mahabodhi Temple (World Heritage Site) in Bodh Gaya, India, thebirthplace of Buddhism. In 2008, “Circle Wind PAX2008”, was permanently installed in Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming, a sacred place for Native Americans, as a message of peace to future generations. Thesepermanent installations are said to be the first great achievements in the history of world art. At the Akishima·Showano Mori Junkyu Muto Sculpture Museum, we will exhibit nine masterpiece marble sculptures, including half-sizemodels of these memorable monuments.
